Sjoerd Knibbeler

The young Amsterdam-based photo artists Sjoerd Knibbeler who in his work focusses on the visualisation of invisible natural phenomena such as wind, air, and climatic conditions was for three weeks a guest of the Museum Kunst der Westküste as artist-in-residence. Before simulating wind or clouds and constructing fragile objects of materials such as plastics, paper, or hardboard, Sjoerd Knibbeler thoroughly researches his topics and consults experts on climate research, aviation, and architecture. The Inselbote published an extensive article on the artist’s experiments and investigations during his time as artist-in-residence on Föhr.
